The Financial Services Commission today issued the following press release:
Alan Whiting, the Financial Services Commission’s (FSC) Chairman, wishes to publicly thank Commission Member Nigel Feetham for his six years of service with the FSC. Mr Feetham has decided not to seek a reappointment, for a further three years, following the expiration of his second term as a board member in May this year. This is to enable him to focus on his other interests, including as visiting Professor at Nottingham Trent University and his authorship of a number of highly regarded specialist professional books. Commenting on this, Mr Whiting stated: “Nigel has provided very valuable input to the workings of the Commission and particularly in respect of the insurance sector, where he has a deep and broad experience. On behalf of the Commission, and on a personal level, I would like to thank Nigel for his contributions and wish him well in the pursuit of his other interests.” Mr Feetham’s last meeting as a serving Member will be in March 2013.
