With the whole of Europe facing the revolution of Solvency II, and Gibraltar this year finalising a stable tax environment which works within a modern Europe, we face challenging but exciting times, and the GIA is determined to represent its industry in the best way it can. Our new website is a very powerful tool for members and I look forward to having it form a central part of our communication amongst ourselves and with the outside world. The website also serves as the Gibraltar insurance industry's shop window for the world and a place where those interested in what Gibraltar has to offer can not only obtain more information but also make contact and ask questions about Gibraltar insurance issues. As my role as Chairman is not mutually exclusive of my role as Webmaster, I shall look forward to seeing many of you on these pages and on our Forum, and hope that this website will make your Gibraltar experience more fruitful and enjoyable!
